• Back Yard Harvest, SkyLine Construction, and Silver Services Landscaping are promoting and organizing a community event to help re-forest the area burned in the Tea Fire. You can do your part to help with this project by sponsoring a tree from a selection of native and/or drought-tolerant non-conventional “Christmas trees” available for adoption. The organizations will drop off the trees at your home for you to enjoy for the holidays, and then pick them up again after Christmas and replant them in the burned area. The organizations will issue tax-deductible receipts for all trees purchased. For pricing and details, please call 966-1919 or send an email to trees@skylineinc.com.

• To continue to provide high-quality services to their clients, Domestic Violence Solutions of S.B. County needs donations this holiday season. The organization, which provides safe and confidential shelter-as well as emotional support and legal advocacy-to battered women and their children, needs appliances, blankets, toiletries, cookware, furniture, and cleaning supplies. In addition, Domestic Violence Solutions’ kid clients need backpacks, diapers, games, toys, and art and school supplies. If you can help, call 963-4458 for more info.
