State Assemblymember Pedro Nava has introduced legislation aimed at protecting communities from sexually violent predators. The Sex Crime Disclosure Act permits court access to full criminal histories during civil trials; the Sex Crime Loophole Closure Act prohibits authorities from expunging egregious sex crimes from a juvenile’s record. Crime Victims United endorsed the bills, calling them necessary to keep the most violent predators off the streets.
