An arrest has been made in a March 17 stabbing that put a 21-year-old man into intensive care. On Thursday, March 26, Santa Barbara officers, in conjunction with those from the City of Ventura, arrived at a home on the 100 block of Glen Ellen Drive in Ventura and arrested a 23-year-old man on charges of being one of the two men responsible for the stabbing.

According to a police report, the original altercation resulted from an argument between the stabbed man, the alleged stabber from Ventura, and a third man about a noisy party that took place in the apartment complex at 123 Oceano Ave. in Santa Barbara. In investigating the Ventura man, however, police also determined that he had also been involved in a February 13 robbery that took place on the 1900 block of Cliff Drive.

Altogether, the man was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery with a criminal street gang enhancement. He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail and held on $100,000 bail.
