Three Cars Torched on Ellwood Beach Drive
No Structures Burned or Injuries Reported
At 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, Santa Barbara County Fire engines responded to reports of a car on fire at 350 Ellwood Beach Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, the four responding engine companies discovered two cars ablaze next to the 16 unit apartment building at that address. An additional car was also found to be on fire at 399 Ellwood Beach Drive.
The three car fires were quickly put out and no injuries were reported. The individual fires have been determined to be related, and investigators have launched an inquiry into the incident. However, no motives or suspects have been identified.
