Education 7-2

The Santa Barbara School Board adopted its 2009-10 budget on 7/23. After more than $4 million in cuts this spring, the approved budget brings the district’s general fund to about $118 million. The new budget reflects recent class size increases in grades K-3, the elimination of assistant principal positions at La Cumbre and Santa Barbara junior highs, and kicking out all out-of-district transfers in the secondary district for the 2010-11 school year.
