The body of 17-year-old Los Olivos resident Denis “Oige” Branan Keane was found shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, in a creek bed near Figueroa Mountain and the Neverland Ranch. Keane was last seen at his home on Wednesday, July 22, at 6 a.m., before he set out for a bike ride. Several hours later, according to the Sheriff’s report, Keane’s brother became concerned and drove up Figueroa Mountain Road in an attempt to find him. Keane’s bicycle was discovered on 2:30 p.m. that day, off the road at the Biradet Canyon Trailhead.

A ground and air search was conducted by Sheriff’s deputies and a volunteer Search and Rescue Team until approximately 2 a.m. and resumed at 6 a.m. When the body was found, the initial investigation suggested an accident with no foul play, though detectives will continue to work on determining the cause and manner of death.

CORRECTION: The official release from the Sheriff’s Department on this matter identified the deceased as Dennis “Oige” Cameron Keane, but a family member has clarified that the name is actually Denis “Oige” Branan Keane.
