Thinking about getting a dog but don’t know much about the variety of breeds our four-legged friends come in? S.B. Public Library and Channel City Kennel Club have teamed up for an event to teach kids and adults a thing or two about purebred pooches.

Called Canine Ambassadors, a variety of non-mutts will be on hand as their owners answer questions about breeds, how to be a responsible dog owner, and give safety tips for approaching and being around dogs. The dogs will bust out with some tricks, too. Check it out at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, at the Goleta branch (500 N. Fairview Ave.) or Thursday, November 19, at the downtown branch (40 E. Anapamu St.). For more info about the event, visit sbplibrary.org. For info about Channel City Kennel Club, visit cckcdogs.com.
