The state Public Works Board gave the go-ahead this week to fund a modern, secure criminal courthouse to the tune of $152 million.

The 97,300-square-foot courthouse will serve criminal and traffic court operations in its eight new courtrooms. It will also house a jury assembly space. Officials anticipate construction completing in 2015, but first must find an appropriate plot of land to build on.
