Casa Esperanza Hosts Performances

About 30 people—both residentially challenged and otherwise—gathered in the back of the community room at Casa Esperanza on Tuesday night to see a few performances of spoken word, poetry, and music by residents of the homeless shelter. The event, put on by the seven-year-old People’s Institute, was a precursor to an expected performance at the First Thursday event in May.
