Caltrans will clean out, repair and modify a rock fall protection system to reduce the amount of rocks falling onto Hwy. 154 on Monday, January 24 and Tuesday, January. 25 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Motorists will encounter temporary full closures of the highway every ten minutes to ensure that debris does not fall onto the highway. Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 15 minutes.

The contractor for this $400,000 project is AIS Construction of Carpinteria, CA. This project is expected to be completed this April.

For traffic updates on other state highway projects in Santa Barbara County, motorists can call Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs at 805-568-0858 or visit the District 5 website.
