Fish and Game Launches MPA Web Site

The California Department of Fish and Game announced a new mobile Web site (dfg.ca.gov/m/MPA) that allows the public to look up information on nearby Marine Protected Areas. Fishermen, divers, and other ocean goers can manually search for MPAs and learn about their boundaries and regulations.

Users can also access the site to find and track their current location using the GPS systems built into their cell phones to determine if they are within a protected area.
