Huguette’s Gems to be Auctioned

Collection Worth Millions

Huguette Clark

The late Huguette Clark’s collection of jewelry, worth millions of dollars, will go on auction April 17 at Christie’s in New York, msnbc.com reports.

The gems, located in a vault, have not been seen in public in many decades. The priciest item is a rare pink cushion-cut 9 carat diamond ring valued at $6 to $8 million. Clark passed away last spring at the age of 104.

The heiress’s huge Fifth Avenue apartments went on sale recently for $55 million. Her entire $400 million estate, including her East Cabrillo Boulevard property, is now the subject of a raging dispute involving her distant relatives.
