Jang’s Karate Center to Host Belt Promotions
This huge event will take place the Saturday 21st of April 2012 at Dos Pueblos High School Gym in Goleta from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is welcome and the event is free of charge.
The Grandmaster of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan will also be attending the ceremony to support the Event as a special guest, along with several other very high ranking Masters.
The Federation only recognizes Dan (black belt) promotions that happen in this Regional Process in front of a panel of examiners and high ranking regional seniors in SooBahk Do. This testing process assures that standardization and connection across the nation is maintained and upheld. This certification process allows for the practitioners in this art to be recognized not only nationwide but worldwide in their ranking achievement.

Master Jang came from Korea in 1975, holds numerous martial arts titles and awards, including the World Tang Soo Do® Middleweight Championship. He has a unique and inspirational teaching style that combines humor, wisdom and clear explanation of techniques, as well of the philosophy Moo Do Kwan based on discipline and respect and values such as courage, endurance, modesty, humility, concentration, and control of power.
