Rushton is a dedicated professional, community volunteer and active mother and wife. She works as an Employment Specialist with the nonprofit organization, PathPoint, volunteers with Partners in Education and serves as an Ambassador for the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce. Rushton also served on the steering committee of Taste of the Nation in 1995-96 prior to her move to England.
