According to AFSP, approximately 38,000 people die by suicide each year, making it the 2nd leading cause of death in college students and leading cause of injury death in the U.S. overall. With more than 20 million suffering from depression, it’s important that individuals and communities are made aware of the tremendous impact of this preventable problem. The event is designed to bring both attention and financial support to suicide prevention efforts throughout the country.
The Associated Students Office of the External Vice President of Local Affairs (EVPLA) would like to thank Crushcakes & Café, Sam’s To Go and Woodstock’s Pizza for providing free food on the day of the event.
