Thanks for the awesome articles about e-cigarettes a couple weeks ago. Y’all probably boosted the local markets quite a bit — I have bought two of them already. The first one burnt excellently — I smoked it on the bus, and no one seemed to mind, not even the mothers with children. After all, it is just water vapor. However, they continue to be overpriced, and that is a major bummer.

Environmentalists ought to be in strong favor of e-cigarettes: According to Camel’s environmental marketing campaign, “Cigarettes consist of 37 percent of all the litter.” E-cigarettes will lead to butt-free beaches. I still want hot butts on the beach, but the other “smokable” kind.

And one other comment: the reason some people like “smoking” is because it’s like “cutting,” the self-harm technique. One feels the “burn” in the throat or lungs and begins to feel alive again.

Perhaps we can find a way to feel alive without killing ourselves at the same time?
