The Association for Women in Communication—Santa Barbara announces the next program about Creating Community as Communicators in the Virtual World, Managing Information Overload. Everywhere you look in today’s high-tech world you’re bombarded with more info. According to recent studies people receives five times more information daily than we did 25 years ago. Ideas popup where you least expect them. Answers can be found with a few taps of a fingertip. Exposure to so much digital technology can cause physical as well as psychological symptoms. How do you cope with all the stimuli coming from mobile devices, social media, television, the Internet?

Sara Caputo is the founder and principal of Radiant Organizing + Productivity. She champions small businesses, nonprofits, workplace teams, entrepreneurs, and solo practitioners. She is passionate about helping them garner measurable increases in productivity and creativity so they may gain time to participate more fully in all levels of their life. She is the author of the e-book The Productivity Puzzle: What’s Your Missing Piece? Her simple approach starts with helping people understand their own individual Productivity Puzzle.
Marilyn O’Malley is a transformation expert who helps highly creative entrepreneurs remove their blocks around money, being seen and heard, life harmony and self-worth. She assists sensitive business owners express themselves, make a difference in the world, live the life they love with financial freedom. An entrepreneur in the health profession for over 30 years, she has worked as a fitness instructor, well-being consultant, massage therapist and certified life coach.
Koreen Olbrish Pagano advocates new ways of using technology for organizational learning, with an emphasis on performance improvement and behavioral change. She received her MS in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. She helped start Freire Charter School in 1999, and founded Tandem Learning in 2008 to demonstrate the untapped potential of immersive learning design. Koreen has taught graduate courses at Harrisburg University, writes the blog Learning in Tandem, and is currently working in product management at lynda.com. Her book, Immersive Learning, examines the possibilities new technologies can bring for training design.
Dr. Minette Riordan works as a coach at the intersection where life meets business. She tells her clients there is an easier way to make the money they deserve, to work smarter not harder, and find the ideal balance between work and family. Her specialty is helping women entrepreneurs create a vibrant and balanced new vision for their life and their business that supports all of who they are.
