Fee Drives Encanto Parking

Not mentioned in the article “El Encanto Parking Wars” is the $12 valet parking fee. A lot of people going to the restaurant and bar park on side streets to avoid the parking fee. Also, the Riviera Complex across the street has had to put up big signs saying No Hotel Parking. Even the Biltmore supplies free valet parking. Removing the $12 parking fee would make a big difference in the street parking issue.

Editor’s Note: This letter was revised on April 10, 2014, to remove the reference to the parking fee being for the restaurant. Restaurant and Spa patrons park for free.
