On Saturday 17 May at 1:00pm the Isla Vista Food Cooperative in association with the Twin Pines Cooperative Fund will present the 2014 Cooperative Community Fund grants. Wilderness Youth Project of Goleta and Wholesome Practices of Santa Barbara are the recipients of this year’s grants and will receive $1000.00 each.

The presentation will happen during Isla Vista Food Cooperative’s monthly Sunflower Kid’s Club Activity Day. There will be free edible crafts with local produce, storytelling, environmental lessons from Sprout Up!, and presentations by the grantees. Refreshments will be served.

Wilderness Youth Project introduces young people to the great outdoors through activities and adventures at parks, beaches, and the Santa Barbara backcountry.

Wholesome Practices works with families to raise awareness of healthy nutrition and diets.

The Isla Vista Food Cooperative presents grants yearly to local 501c3 organizations working in our community.
