Does it bother anybody else that 350.org of Santa Barbara, a legitimate organization, would create a sub-organization and name it Water Guardians? Is it trying to mask its true identity? Why couldn’t its members just tell it like it is and say their concern is about air quality? Are they using the name Water Guardians to play on people’s sympathy because of the drought conditions we are experiencing here in California? What name will they pick next?

They try to scare us by using terms such as fracking when they know there is an ordinance against it in Santa Barbara County. They want to ban acidizing of our wells, which has been done here for more than 50 years. In fact, most of the wells from which Santa Barbara County residents get their drinking water are cleaned with acid compounds.

It amazes me that people are so easily swayed by a petition stating one thing when its true intent is something entirely different.

Be informed! Read Measure P, and be sure to look at the true meaning behind it. Look into the potential loss of tax revenue and jobs that will be created if Measure P passes. Also be sure to look at the potential for lawsuits, guaranteed by the Constitution of California and the Constitution of the United States of America, against the County of Santa Barbara for the unlawful taking of property.

Vote No on Measure P on November 4, 2014.
