Police Opening SBCC Office

The Santa Barbara Police Department will open a community policing office on S.B. City College’s campus. According to school spokesperson Joan Galvan, the office will be located on the first floor of the Administration Building. It will not be staffed full-time and will instead serve as a location for officers to stop in during their normal shifts. The idea is that an increased police presence in the area will help address neighborhood concerns, Galvan added.
