Security camera footage shows the suspect wearing a suit, tie, and a mask made to look like an elderly man.

Santa Barbara Sheriff’s detectives are searching for a suspect who robbed the Calle Real CVS Pharmacy while armed with a gun late Sunday night. According to a Sheriff’s Office press release, the suspect — described as a white male between 5-foot-10-inches and 6-feet tall and between 160 and 180 pounds — walked directly to the cashier, demanded the cashier give him money from the drawer under threat of a gun, and left the store with an unnamed amount of money. The suspect was reportedly wearing a mask that disguised him as an old man.

The suspect may be associated with a white truck, caught on video and seen repeatedly driving by the store right before and after the robbery.

Sheriff’s deputies are working with the Grover Beach Police Department in its investigation of an alleged armed robbery by a similarly masked suspect on Sunday at the Monarch Grove Winery.
