The City of Santa Barbara will begin broadcasting its finance committee meetings before the 2008 budget process commences in spring. The City Council rejected on a 4-3 vote the $15,000 option of wiring the customary meeting room in City Hall in favor of the $3,000 option of improving the recording system at the less convenient Gephardt Public Meeting Room several blocks away on Garden Street
