The Goleta Public Library is cutting its daily operations by one hour in an effort to save money, the Santa Barbara Public Library system announced on 5/26. Instead of staying open until 9 p.m., the library will now close at 8 p.m. Officials noted that other libraries in the county, however, would maintain regular hours.
