Gary Amelio, currently the executive director of the San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System, will take over as CEO of the Santa Barbara County Employees’ Retirement System (SBCERS), a $1.9 billion public pension fund. SBCERS provides retirement benefits for roughly 8,700 members. Amelio takes over in February, eight months after Vincent Brown resigned and headed to Alameda County Employees’ Retirement Association.
