It’s official: The California-based Barefoot Winery announced this week that the Santa Barbara chapter of the Surfrider Foundation has won the winery’s annual online beach rescue contest. As a result, the winery will donate $10,000 for the fight against development along the Gaviota Coast. The voter-based competition pitted the Gaviota cause against four others this summer. All other competitors received $5,000 from Barefoot.
