There is an insulting highlighted subject line in Matt Kettmann’s July 12, 2012 article, “What Doctors Should Learn from Veterinarians,” that reads “Jews, Jaguars, and Jurassic Cancer.”

First, Jews are not objects along with jaguars and Jurassic cancer. It seems most would automatically be sensitive to such grouping and easy alliteration. And second, what does this even pertain to? I could find no reference in the article to Jewish people.

Editor’s Note: We published excerpts from the book Zoobiquity. The chapter title “Jews, Jaguars, and Jurassic Cancer” was meaningless without the rest of that chapter. We apologize for the confusion.
