The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Compliance Response Team asks for the public’s assistance in their search for Matt Crandall, 44, of Santa Maria, who has an arrest warrant for violating his county probation and who fled the scene Wednesday when Santa Maria police officers discovered a stolen Habitat for Humanity truck in his possession.

Santa Maria police officers responded Wednesday to a report of suspicious activity at an address on Palm Court Drive in Santa Maria, where they detained Sabrina Ceglia, 35, and Travis Grant, 32, both of Santa Maria. Crandall reportedly fled on foot, according to a prepared statement from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.

The officers found a stolen Habitat for Humanity truck (missing from the 6800 block of Cortona Drive in Goleta since Tuesday) in Ceglia, Grant, and Crandall’s possession. Inside the truck were many stolen items from a local business. Ceglia and Grant were booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on alleged charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen property, as well as being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Anyone with information about Crandall’s location may call the Sheriff’s Office at (805) 683-2724 or leave an anonymous tip at (805) 681-4171.
