The median resale price for a single-family detached home in the South County reached $1.1 million this July, an increase of 4.8 percent compared to last summer’s price, according to California Association of Realtors statistics released on 8/27. The picture was far different in North County, where the median price fell 15 percent to $386,000, and home sales were 47 percent lower.
