Various Santa Barbara County groups paid tribute to the events of September 11, 2001. Events held included a screening of the documentary 9/11/01 at the Unitarian Society, a gathering of Westmont students on campus for a prayer service, and members of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department mourning those who died on 9/11. Memorial ceremonies were also held at area schools and at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
