Mark Chaconas resigned from his position as executive director of the Santa Barbara Downtown Organization just two months after taking the job. Chaconas was chosen to replace Marshall Rose, the first executive director of the DO, who stepped down in August to start the Hollister Brewing Company. Bill Duval, a lawyer on the Downtown Organization’s board, said the split was amicable and the pairing just wasn’t a good fit.
