Santa Barbara In Black Makes Last Stand

Santa Barbara in Black, the group that has stood silently at the corner of Anapamu and State streets every Friday for an hour since 2001, made its last stand on 1/25. Their mission: to help end cycles of violence and revenge. “It is always possible to be peaceful,” wrote Barbara Parmet, announcing the project’s end. “We remain among you like secret agents doing our job of being peace.”
