UCSB was temporarily without water on 5/26, rendering drinking fountains and restroom facilities on the campus inoperative for more than an hour. The water outage began when the Goleta Water District shut down a valve located on El Colegio Road in Isla Vista. Although two valves service the campus, a second valve at Mesa Road was also shut off without the supervision of the Water District, causing the outage.
