Education Easy as ABC … and H-P

You can educate your palate and help education Sunday, March 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. at “A Day in the Country Pre-Oscar Party” benefit for The Family School in Los Olivos.

“This event will feature the dynamic duo of Jim Clendenen, owner/winemaker of Au Bon Climat Winery, and Frank Ostini, owner of the Hitching Post Restaurant,” says Family School supporter Larry Schaffer, who also owns Tercero Wines. “Jim will be touring folks around the winery and the surrounding vineyard (the world-famous Bien Nacido Vineyard) while Frank and staff will be preparing and serving a four-course lunch.”

And not just any lunch, as the menu includes quail salad, tomato/basil soup with smoked croutons, entrecote steak and fries, and many surprises (plus a vegetarian option). Clendenen will also be pouring special library wines as part of the festivities.
