The 18th Annual Taste of Solvang and 3rd Annual Restaurant Week
The Taste of Solvang can be everything from æbelskivers to cotton candy, but that’s what makes the event such potluck fun. But that’s just one of the highlights coming up as Solvang first offers the 3rd Annual Restaurant Week, during which seven restaurants—including River Grill at the Alisal, the Mirabelle Inn, and Root 246—will be offering special three-course tasting menus for the price of $20.10 (excluding tax, tip, beverages) between Sunday, March 14 and Thursday, March 18. Then that weekend the Taste of Solvang whips up a scrumptious Dessert Reception on Friday, March 19, 7-9 p.m. at the Solvang Veterans Memorial Building at 1745 Mission Drive; the Walking Smorgaasbord, featuring 40 taste stops around the village, on Saturday, March 20, from 11a.m.-4 p.m.; a nine-stop Wine Tasting Room Walk on Saturday, March 20, 6-9 p.m.; and a BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) in Solvang Park (at Mission Drive & First Street) featuring free, continuous live entertainment on Sunday, March 21, noon-3p.m. A Weekend Pass including logo wine glass and souvenir tote bag is $70 per person; individual event tickets may be purchased online at SolvangUSA.com, by mail with a check, or by calling (800) 468-6765 x105.
