Nearly 500 university journalism programs across the nation will soon be receiving educationally enhanced DVD copies of Citizen McCaw, the documentary that covered the meltdown at the Santa Barbara News-Press, which started in July 2006 when dozens of employees left the paper due to differences with owner Wendy McCaw and continues to be unresolved today.

In addition to the original documentary, which the filmmakers say will be updated when a resolution occurs, the schools will be receiving a second DVD that discusses journalistic ethics and features interviews with Ben Bradlee, Lou Cannon, and Nick Welsh, among other esteemed journalists.
