Councilmember’s Son Accused of Stealing Lynn Campaign Signs

Diane Lynn, wife of District Attorney candidate Joshua Lynn, filed a police report claiming that Sean Barnwell—son of former City Councilmember Brain Barnwell—stole Joshua Lynn campaign signs from Lynn’s own yard. Barnwell denied the allegation to both police investigators and to reporters. Diane Lynn said one of her neighbors said they saw Barnwell take the sign from the Lynn’s yard, describing both Barnwell and his truck. Barnwell acknowledged he supports Dudley, but insisted the only campaigns signs he’s touched were pro-Dudley yard signs. Police said Lynn is happy to let the matter rest. “Whatever it was [Barnwell] said he wasn’t doing,” explained police spokesperson Lt. Paul McCaffery, “we told him not to do anymore.”
