Two Lost Tourists Rescued near Painted Cave

Two women on vacation in Santa Barbara and visiting the Painted Cave area had to be rescued by the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team on 4/11 after becoming disoriented during a windy and rainy storm. Because of the weather, the two were unable to find their way back to their car after looking for a good place to take a photo of the coastline, and called 911 from their cell phone. Other than being wet and tired, the two females in their late 50s were otherwise in fine shape after their rescue.
