The debate about the various wants and wishes the California Coastal Commission (CCC) hopes to see reflected in the county code—if and when the county finally approves its long-stewing Land Use and Development Code updates—were continued once again this week by the County Supervisors. With county staffers and representatives from the CDC having met several times in recent months to help hash out differences, some of which have caused an outcry of public concern, the hope is that compromises can occur allowing the matter to go forward in time for the next Coastal Commission hearing later this month. The supervisors are slated to discuss the topic once again next week at their November 9 meeting.
