Borders Group Inc. announced today that the company will be closing 28 more stores — including its Goleta location in Camino Real Marketplace — on top of the 200 already shutting down. Borders went into bankruptcy last month and shuttered its State Street store in January.

According to a list the company released that shows all closing locations, the Goleta store will be gone by late May. Company representatives couldn’t be reached for comment.

Borders is the second largest bookstore chain in the country, behind Barnes & Noble, and at its height operated more than 500 locations.
