End of an Era for a 30 Year Old Santa Barbara Business

When Tyler acquired Everything Electric 20 years ago it was a struggling 10 year old electrical supply company servicing primarily the professional electrical contractor. He expanded the business to appeal to a broader customer base to include the retail homeowner and do it yourselfer. Subsequently, The Lighting Boutique, a full service lighting showroom, was added. “The Lighting Boutique was a natural fit to the existing electrical store” tyler said “and we were well received by the Santa Barbara community as new construction and remodel projects boomed”.

Tyler has called Santa Barbara home for the past 40 years after moving from new york in 1972. his decision to liquidate the business was a very difficult one as many professionals, individuals and friends have come to rely on the business for everything from light bulbs to chandeliers, as well answering every question imaginable about ‘how to connect electrical fixtures’. the decision was equally difficult knowing that a dedicated staff of employees would lose their jobs.
