The Isla Vista Foot Patrol Station was firebombed on 1/1 by an unknown suspect or suspects for the second time in recent months. During the attack, which took place at around 11:30 p.m. on the 6504 Trigo Road building, a “combustible device similar to a Molotov cocktail” was lobbed toward the station’s front door, a Sheriff’s spokesperson said. Officers were present inside, but no one was injured. The building sustained minor damage. The spokesperson, who released a statement but was not available for follow-up questions, said it’s unclear if this most recent attack is related to the 11/15 incident during which two Molotov cocktails were thrown at the station by an unidentified person dressed in black.
