The SBCC Board of Trustees is looking for three area residents to be a part of the 16-member committee that will search for a new college president-superintendent. Dr. Jack Friedlander has held the position in an interim capacity since July when the board forced the president-superintendent at the time, Dr. Andreea Serban, to step down. Committee candidates, school officials said, should demonstrate an “interest and knowledge or expertise in higher education.” Two will represent the community at large and the third must be a current SBCC Continuing Education student. The group will meet mid February through early April, and the overall time commitment is approximately 60 hours. To apply, send a statement of 150 words or less by 1/21 to Sue Ehrlich, SBCC vice president of Human Resources and Legal Affairs, at ehrlich@sbcc.edu.
