Denunzio Guilty of Battery on Girlfriend’s Son

A Santa Barbara jury found Tony Denunzio — the man involved in a serious physical altercation with police officer Aaron Tudor outside Gelson’s Market in October — guilty of battery upon his girlfriend’s son. The jury found him not guilty of domestic violence on his girlfriend and split on a charge of battery on his own son. The charges all stemmed from the same incident, which took place prior to his alleged DUI and the confrontation with Tudor. Denunzio is facing a DUI charge in that case, though the District Attorney didn’t filed charges for resisting arrest, nor charges against the officer for excessive force. That case has been moved to North County because of media publicity.
