Rarely have I seen a movie review that missed so totally what was going on in the picture as your recent coverage of Salmon Fishing in Yemen! [Movie Guide, 4/12/12.]

I can only assume the reviewer slept through it or had some other problem. For his information the film was not about getting salmon in the sheik’s backyard. What it is totally focused on are the joint efforts of all those involved to bring the fishing industry into the area so that it might replace warfare and violence as a way of life for the people there with a desirable agricultural industry. Could there be any better story line!

The performances of each and every one of the actors was right on target and my wife and I came away singing their praises. We have heard the same from all our friends who have seen it.

Perhaps it is time for the reviewer to travel some other road, as it would be a shame if he continues to trash excellent films that are the kind we viewers wish to see. – Bud Stuart, S.B.
