Mesa Stabbing Victim May Be Released from Hospital

Cottage Hospital doctors recently told a Santa Barbara police detective that the man seriously hurt in an April 13 fight on the lower Mesa may soon be released from the hospital. He was initially admitted with life-threatening injuries, but his condition has improved, a police spokesperson said.

The man was interviewed this week by a detective looking into the incident. Four men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing, and one is charged with attempted murder.

The investigation continues, said the spokesperson.
