Mr. Montgomery is a recently retired senior partner of the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where he specialized in handling financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He serves on the Board of Directors of several private and publicly traded companies and is active in numerous professional, charitable and civic organizations including the Board of Visitors at Duke University Law School, where he served as chairman for eight years, and the Board of Governors of the Lowe Institute of Political Economy of Claremont McKenna College. Since 2007, Mr. Montgomery has also been the owner/proprietor of Montgomery Vineyard, a small grape-growing, wine-producing company in the Calistoga region of the Napa Valley.

Mr. Montgomery received his undergraduate and law degrees with honors from Williams College and Duke University Law School.
