Jerry Lulejian — the North County’s chief deputy district attorney — is retiring after 21 years in the office and 30 years as an attorney. He was Deputy DA of the Year four times and has prosecuted every crime under the sun, from serious violent felonies, to white collar crimes, to fraud cases. Lulejian is the most recent of several very experienced attorneys in the office to retire. He will be replaced by Kelly Scott, who comes to the DA’s Office from the County Counsel’s office, where she often represented the DA’s Office and Sheriff’s Department in court.
