Indy Crew Dresses Up
Costume Contest Teases Out Staff's Freaky Sides
JUST ANOTHER WACKY WEDNESDAY: Every Halloween, The Independent‘s prize-packed office costume contest teases out creepiness, craftiness, and creativity from our staffers, causing otherwise reserved desk jockeys and grammar junkies to summon their inner freaks.
Though results weren’t ready by deadline, this year’s cast of characters included:
Upper row, from left: Giraffe (Chelsea Lyon); Dia de Los Muertos (Tanya Guiliacci); Pig Man (Brandon Fastman); Pirate Santa (Robby Robbins); Wilma Flintstone (Brandi Rivera); Robin Hood (Marianne Kuga); “Modern” Dorothy à la The Wizard of Oz (Amy Smith); Hello Kitty (Nina Chang); (bottom row, from left) The Goblin King (Cassi Lindberg); Raccoon (Michelle Drown); Little Miss Riding in the Hood (Gabby Dimaranan); and Robot (Ben Ciccati).
In the spirit of audience participation, we’ll have an audience choice award this year. Pick your favorite on the accompanying poll.
