A photo ID issued by local medical, fire, police and sheriff departments is required for each emergency responder. Free admission is also extended to one additional adult and two children.

“It’s our way to thank the hardworking men and women who come to the aid of this community over and over again, as recently as last week during the Lookout Fire,” said Zoo Director Nancy McToldridge. “We hope they’ll take a day during that time to relax, enjoy the Zoo, and be appreciated for their bravery and hard work.”

The Santa Barbara Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; general admission is $14 for adults,

$10 for children 2-12 and seniors 65+, and children under 2 are free. Parking is $6.
